According to Tech Crunch, Musk’s X platform (formerly Twitter) has received money transmitter licenses in 12 states in the US, namely South Dakota, Kansas, Wyoming, Arizona, Georgia, Iowa, Maryland, Michigan, Mississippi, Missouri, New Hampshire and Rhode Island, are registered with a company called “X Payments LLC” (formerly “Twitter Payments LLC” ), will operate a money transmitter business in X, the names of the licenses may vary, but both authorize X to process payments or transmit funds within the state.
