Any fan of a jig, and even more so without a reel, will definitely say that in addition to high-quality fishing line and jig, there should be a “correct” nod in the tackle. But the most curious thing in this story is that for each individual fisherman, this most “correct” nod will be his own! If in the fishing lines and mormyshkas it is still possible to somehow distinguish reference things, well, or at least striving for the standard, then there is no way.
The “tremor” of the hands, it is different for everyone, while very much. Whether it is delivered by an experienced mentor or nurtured by his own long practice.
In the modern fishing market, at the moment there are two main materials from which nods are made. This is metal and dacron. No, of course, you can still find the once popular boar bristle, and a springy nod with the head of some kind of animal (remember, were there red ones?), and you can also see fancy modern graphite nods, handmade… All of them are really good if they cope with the task assigned to them! Namely, the correct feeding of the bait, after which the bite occurs 😎
In recent years, when I was still actively fishing for a jig, I began to use dacron more and more often. Although for many years I have been fishing for metal… Well, my very first nod on winter fishing was from that very, black, bicycle nipple 🙉
And what was your first nod???
